I'm thrilled to reconnect with you all! Over the past few months, I've been immersed in our glorious state, engaging with incredible communities. It’s been a whirlwind of learning, connecting, and growing alongside some spectacular organizations and communities. Now, I'm back and eager to share my journey with you.

One of the things I love most about my work is the chance to experience different parts of Alaska. Each region has its own unique charm, and getting to know the diverse people, work cultures, and lifestyles is always a treasure. My travels reaffirm the importance of approaching each experience with an open heart and mind, ensuring a richer understanding and appreciation of every new encounter. Recently, I conducted virtual training for an organization whose employees are making their first trip to Alaska. They're involved in a community development project in a village on the Yukon. They reached out to learn more about Alaska's Indigenous people, what to expect, and how to engage respectfully with residents and leadership.

This type of training is one of my favorites because it allows me to share information about Alaska's diverse Indigenous cultures from an Alaska Native perspective. My clients leave with a deeper understanding of cultural nuances and a greater appreciation for the rich heritage of Alaska Native communities. They're often surprised by Alaska's diversity and vastness, which enriches their ability to work effectively and respectfully within these communities.

It's important to me to provide insights about Alaska Native people and ways to respectfully and effectively engage with us. In the not-too-distant past, information, artifacts, and even people were taken from our communities without proper notification, recognition, or respect. This history makes it crucial to educate others on how to engage in ways that honor and value the contributions of Alaska Native communities.

As I continue my travels throughout Alaska, I am constantly inspired by the leadership and resilience of Indigenous women. Our communities are full of strong, dedicated women who are leading the way in various fields, and it’s important to highlight their contributions. Leadership among Indigenous women is a powerful force, and I’m passionate about supporting and elevating this in every way possible. Look for more information and stories about these incredible women.

Thank you for your continued support. Your engagement and feedback are invaluable, and I'm excited to reconnect and continue building bridges for lasting, mutually beneficial relationships. Stay tuned for more updates and stories. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with you.
